Portugal Golden Visa Program: Your Gateway to Europe

Portugal, the Warm Heart of Europe
invites you!

D7 Visa- Passive Income Earners
According to Portuguese law, the applicant for a Passive Income Residence Visa must prove that he or she has a regular net passive income sufficient to support his or her family in Portugal. This income can come from sources such as pensions, rental income, interest, dividends or intellectual property income. In general, an annual income of at least the total of the minimum wage for that year, plus 50% of this amount for the spouse, is considered sufficient.
However, it is important to remember that the Consular Officers who will assess your application have discretion. Therefore, the minimum amounts stated are a guide only and are subject to change. The higher the proven net worth and income, the more advantageous it will be for assessment purposes.
Additionally, some Consulates (but not all) may favorably consider a bank account with a significant balance as evidence of passive income. In this case, the definition of a "significant" balance may also vary.
D2 Visa- Free Lancer & Entrepreneur Visa
The Portugal Entrepreneur Visa is designed for non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals who want to set up a business or expand an existing business in Portugal. This visa allows entrepreneurs, freelancers or small business owners to reside and do business in Portugal, while benefiting from the country’s favourable business environment and access to the EU market. Applicants must submit a viable business plan, demonstrate sufficient financial resources and demonstrate that their venture can contribute to the Portuguese economy. The visa allows family reunification, provides a pathway to permanent residency and Portuguese citizenship, and provides access to public services such as healthcare and education. It is an attractive option for those looking for a strategic base from which to establish their business and a high quality of life.
